Last season we saw Amakhosi come with an amazing kit, a clean gold top with the Chief's stripes coming from the sides, they even dropped a risky yet pretty purple away kit. It was probably one of the best kits of the 2018 season, worldwide. Designed by Matt Wolf the same home that pulled of the magnificent Nigeria World Cup kit.

Now it's 2019 and they have released a new kit which seems to divide the masses if it's not making them dizzy. It's an all-rounded patterned kit with the club's logo, something that's between genius and trash. To be fair it resembles the club very well, yet it does not look appealing. The home kit is a yellow top with the Chief's feathers all over it, it sinks into the club logo like some psychedelic optical illusion. Or maybe it's an evolution of the club's logo coming into life? It doesn't look good in my perspective.

The white away home kit looks nice, as we see the patterns on the sleeves rather than the whole body. Judging from the people's response it didn't go down well with fans, as at some point we thought Chiefs might even pull it back as when it was previewed on social media people weren't so pleased with the overall design and it was that moment when Jessica Motaung revealed it to Sway and the whole South Africa was like wtf is that? Well, it's dropped and its debut didn't go well with Chiefs losing the Soweto Derby to Pirates. Maybe it will grow on me but judging from what Sundowns and Pirates dropped it's lacking. On the bright side it's very iconic and would stand out in any league, will we look back in 10years and admire this? Hopefully.
