Ezka magebhula. The buccaneers have delivered another classic kit to the collection, it's a lovely white shirt with black pinstripes, a reminder of that '95 home kit with players like Jerry"Legs of Thunder" Skhosana and Helman Mkhelele the midnight express.
Just from a glance, it looks like a championship-winning type of a kit, especially after their derby victory vs Kaizer Chiefs. In the previous season's Pirates have been in a fearsome all-black home kit, even though it feels like a traditional black and white suits them well and reminiscent of the good old days. It's a kit that was inspired by the 1995 team that won the CAF champions league. I guess it's back to glory days for the top South African teams aiming to lift the CAF champions league.
The away kit is dark red with black pin motifs, a color they have adopted in the recent era of the club. It's interesting how the two kits have different collars, with the away in a nice v-neck collar, which I would prefer over the home kits round collar. I must say these two kits are looking good, one modern and the other being another classic. We hope this kit brings back the dominance of the mighty Bucs.
