Under The African Sun

It's that time when Sundowns drop a new kit and oh how I love that beautiful yellow that resembles happiness and sunshine, as well as trophies.

Under Pitso Mosimane, Mamelodi Sundowns have been a formidable force not just in the PSL but in Africa as well. With Sundowns winning 4 titles under Pitso's leadership and a finally a championship in Africa. It's been good going just like the dream Patrick Mostepe had envisioned when he took Sundowns over in 2003, not to just be the best in South Africa but to conquer Africa as well.

The current kit called Under The African Sun serves well as a manifesto for Sundowns 2019/20 season. It's a beautiful Brazilian yellow jersey with light afro patterns that resembles the sun’s rays. I've always preferred the Sundowns jerseys to be a classic yellow and blue to resemble the club's nickname, The Brazilians. The current jersey looks classic yet I feel the collar could have gotten more love in design, like the 2018 version. Puma has kept it classic and in line with the club's identity, Ka bo Yellow. It's gonna look good in a sea of yellow at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville.

I'm in love with the white away kit, it's still a clean slick look and the patterns are more visible to the eye. Shout out to Kabelo @kasiflavour10 for the styling and art direction of the kit release.
